We unearthed forgotten treasures lost centuries ago when we visited the island of Alderney in June 2022 after being offered the chance to do some metal detecting there. Over the course of 3 days Jim our host took us to acres of land which was once home to Romans, Celts, Victorians, Georgians and everyone in between. It was exciting, especially knowing that the land had hardly been detected much over the years. My travelling and detecting companions were Simon Bourne of @Si-finds Thames Mudlark and Clem Chambers of @Chill Bill . We were also accompanied by our host Jim, and Ed Staffin, who contributed the awesome drone footage to this video. We visit Gannet Rock to see the gannet colony, thanks to Ed Staffin's super drone footage, and there is also wonderful footage of a baitball and dolphins at the end of this video. Dont miss it!
