Apparat is the stage name for Sascha Ring, a German electronic musician living in Berlin, previously a co-owner of Shitkatapult records. Starting out with dance floor-oriented techno, he later started to create ambient music and more recently became "more interested in designing sounds than beats". Most of his recent creations, work melody and quietly needy vocals on to Ring's spacious electronic canvas. The instrumental version of "Goodbye" was used in Season 4 Episode 13 of the AMC show Breaking Bad. The track itself features in 2011's, "The Devil's Walk" studio album by Apparat and sees Anja Plaschg's(Soap&Skin) sonorous voice walk in step with a sombre ukulele.
