Savage Model 12 Varminter , 1 in 12 inch rifle twist , 60 grain Hornady V max bullets initially going to shoot at 600 yds , tall overgrown grass prevented us from using that range...EUREKA , lets see what we can do at the 1,000 yd range. Results...out of 25 shots we only hit the BEAR 3 times...I was aiming at the Diamond that is used by the AR-15 group 223 caliber who shoot 600 to 800 yds, with 80 grain bullets, What the Heck , at least I did try and did not sit at home on the useless couch and playing with my i pad
