Patapsco River, Baltimore, MD, Sunday, March 31, 2024: A Navigation Response Team from NOAA’s Office of Coast Survey conducts lidar and sonar operations at the site of the Francis Scott Key Bridge collapse to detect any obstructions and gather precise water depth and air gap measurements. This work provides data essential to establishing an alternate channel around the wreckage and determining what kinds of vessels can use it.
