Culion is an official entry of 2019 Metro Manila Film Festival. Big name stars in the movie: Iza Calsado, Merryl Soriano, Joem Bascon, Jasmine Curtis Smith and special participation of John Lloyd Cruz, as Merryl's lover. A period film shot entirely in Culion, Palawan. It tells the story of people inflicted with a disease called leprosy. Culion is an island in Palawan, where leprosy patients confined until he or she cured. Culion leprosy center was established during the American Regime. It is now one of the municipalities of Province of Palawan. The movie was written by Ricky Lee.
