From what I understand, through trains have been put to an idle across the loops (minus a local that runs out of Asheville). I only made one trip to the loops and it was back in January of 2015. I have made several trips down to the Asheville area but it was for personal things. I am wishing that I would have railfanned at least one more time down there.
