Det var 2008 som Joel Alme albumdebuterade med skivan "Master of Ceremonies". Skivan hyllades och låten "A Young Summer's Youth" spelades flitigt på radion. Två år senare kom uppföljaren "Waiting for the Bells". Joels text och musik har ett fantastiskt sätt att beröra. Han kan konsten att kombinera gitarrbaserade melodier med pompös stråkorkester. Influerad av artister som Kris Kristofferson, Nico, Jonathan Richman och Frank Sinatra.
