I am Via from Hungary, the creator of SingEnglish. It has been my childhood dream at 5 to become a singer and an English teacher later on. So l started learning music at 6 and gained a master in English literature and language teaching but still it took me quite a curvy road to make these two apparently different carreers come together. Although l've been teaching and singing most of my life this connection did not happen until l moved to China for a drama teacher position in 2015. l had so much inspiration by fellow teachers and musicians there that the voice to create a teaching method of my own kept speaking louder and louder. However, the life changing point was when l became a mum and started composing songs for children on the ukulele. Embracing English teaching, puppetry art and music here l present the first song of my English educational series. I wish to dedicate SingEnglish to the children first who love singing English. Secondly, to the parents who choose my songs besides or over so many choices and thirdly, to teachers who keep searching for quality and engaging English teaching resources.
