In 2015, North York Community House (NYCH) partnered with The Sinai Health Foundation, Reitman Centre, Canadian Mental Health Association, Alzheimer Society of Toronto, and WoodGreen Community Services, to form ENRICHES: Engagement to Reduce Isolation of Caregivers at Home and Enhancing Seniors. The goal of this collective was to reduce social isolation among caregivers aged 55+. Through this program, NYCH connected over 2000 isolated senior caregivers to the services they needed to support their well-being, and further their inclusion within the community. Fahmeeda joined our program as a participant in Phase 1 (2015 - 2018) and became a member of our advisory council in Phase 2 (2019 - 2020) This is her story.
