oPuPo's video: Progress in the water - the girls

Please read full details: Song is: Tom Mcrae - Mermaid Blues I found this sand pit which just seemed perfect as a rat swimming pool, honestly Splodge (with her diving) could have used a much larger one still but it was well loved by all and if it was much bigger the other two would have been less willing to swim. They were never forced to go in but as you can see in the video there were treats in there if they wanted to, although these were often ignored really. This video shows where they got to, and NOT where they started from. To introduce rats to water I would advise starting very shallow an building the depth up very slowly or you will find they just won't go in (please never force them to go in, it will have the opposite effect on them and they will just want to get out of the water fast, and also puts their health at risk). Please watch my video on how to introduce a rat to water for more information. After play time in the water, each rat was towel dried thoroughly, which often turned into a bit of a game of its own :). If you have read the posts I've left on the channel, you will understand that all of my rats have passed on to the bridge now. This is why video uploads have stopped on my channel. Its hard to look back through video clips to build up videos that I can upload from footage I already have too, but I hope you enjoy this.
