This is the most common bind off in most of Europe, and North America. This bind off can be worked as K1, K1, Pass one over, or as Purl 1, Purl 1 pass one over, or in alternate knits and purls, K1, P1, pass one over. Not shown, this third version easily adopts its self to binding off in pattern. You can end a 2 X 2 ribbing by knitting the knits, and purling the purls, and binding off one stitch as you go.
