Planks are the building blocks to having/teaching the fundamentals of almost any exercise for the abs, obliques, midsection. Planks done properly at first at the youth and high school ages will have great benefits to those same athletes at the college and professional level as they have a strong base training in their trunk, abs, obliques, etc. Here is an awesome Plank Routine 1.
