@C. Blue Clark: Remembering Angie Debo
C. Blue Clark, longtime friend of the notable historian Angie Debo, looks back fondly on his memories of interacting with Debo. He discusses her activism in politics, her involvement in the Marshall, Oklahoma, community, and their long discussions of history, politics, and literature. Clark talks about his own education and how Debo inspired him in his own studies, as well as the legacy that she left behind. He also talks about his dissertation on the Ku Klux Klan in Oklahoma and explains how his father first met Debo when she was involved with the Oklahoma History Writers portion of the Works Progression Administration in the 1930s. This interview was conducted as part of the Remembering Angie Debo Series of the Spotlighting Oklahoma Oral History Project at the OSU Library.
