Holly Morse-Ellington, writer, discusses her early life in Paducah, Kentucky, and her later college career at Lipscomb University and Indiana University. She later goes on to tell about her experience in law school and joining the Navy JAG Corps as an officer. She describes her family connection to Oklahoma and that one of her grandfathers is of Cherokee descent. She also explains her passion for writing plays and creative nonfiction, where she shares one of her favorite essays, Counting Time in a Welterweight Waltz. This interview was conducted as part of the Deep Roots: Oklahoma Authors Oral History Project at the OSU Library.
