paulchartley's video: Literally Genesis 41

@Literally Genesis 41
Welcome to part forty one in this series of videos in which I take the advice of all of those Christian fundamentalists and read my bible - literally You see if you are going to believe in the literal "truth" of the bible and take it literally then literally is the only way that you can read it. In this episode Pharaoh has a dream, well actually he has two, and despite every wise man in the land having a crack at working out what it means, nobody can come up with any suggestions. However as luck would have it a certain butler suddenly remembers about Joseph who has been rotting in Pharaoh's dungeon for the last two years and suggests that Pharaoh should see what he can make of it. Of course being the hero of the tale Joseph has no trouble working out that the dream is the Lord warning Pharaoh that he will be sending a famine in seven years and that Pharaoh should make preparations. Of course, if the story is to be read literally, what Pharaoh should be asking is why. Is the impending famine nothing more than a plot device to set up the premise for a sequel or is the whole thing a self-fulfilling prophesy with the famine being caused by the massive over-production required to not just feed the population, but also stockpile one fifth of the harvest for the impending years of starvation. Regardless, why does all of this sound so strangely familiar in so many different ways? In any case, our hero suddenly finds himself running the country despite Anubis News viewers asking to see his import certificate and claiming that he is a Kenyan muslim.
