paulchartley's video: Literally Genesis 35

@Literally Genesis 35
Welcome to part thirty five in this series of videos in which I take the advice of all of those Christian fundamentalists and read my bible - literally You see if you are going to believe in the literal "truth" of the bible and take it literally then literally is the only way that you can read it. In this episode Jacob, or should that be Israel, is instructed to go to Bethel and set up an altar and name the place Bethel, just as he did several chapters earlier. Of course he is going to have a few problems doing this but as luck would have it, they're not the kinds of problem that are insurmountable and with a little help from a couple of unexpected sources and the only kind of plot device that could possibly make the story consistent if the story is to be taken literally as a series of events that occurred as described, he revisits several pivotal moments in the narrative and not only gets the job done, but also sorts out a couple of the more apparently contradictory parts of the story along the way. Naturally there are casualties along the way and the occasional bit of sexual depravity Then he pops round to visit his dad, who unfortunately like a few of the other characters, also gets written out of the story when the lord decides to trim the cast list before we embark on a new storyline after we have to contended with yet another one of those infamous biblical lists. Music: "The Good Book" Written and Performed by Tim Minchin http://www.youtube.com/user/timminchin =================================== On a side note, the scripts for this series are actually quite extensive and when I recently compiled them all together what I have on my hands is the first draft of what is basically a 270 page book. The whole thing is going to need editing into a second draft with proper punctuation and the typos removed and that's just for starters because afterwards we need to get either a publisher to publish it or an ISBN number so that I can publish it myself. So before I go through all of that pain I need to ask, if Literally Genesis was available as a book or even just an ebook, would you buy it and if so how much would you be willing to pay for it? ====================================
