Youtube user Richard Raspberry has recently made some extraordinary claims about fellow Youtube user Alex Botten. Very extraordinary claims indeed. He claims in the video below that Alex Botten purchased a domain name he used to own and then created a website that attacked him personally (http://joshiit.co.uk). He then said that he had it taken down and because of this Alex Botten made a false police report that Richard was involved at that time in a violent domestic dispute. He says that the police managed to track Alex down and they interviewed him because they get a lot of crime committed by atheists and so the interviewed Alex who broke down in tears and confessed to everything. He then claims that they let Alex off with a warning because he had a fragile mental state and he only did it because he was depressed but they still banned him from the internet without supervision. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1xYqz_0jsEA&list=UU_8nSeqgFpISNK8GaGgguHg Yes I know, it sounds like bullshit and it is. Knowingly attempting to have a website removed from the internet under false pretences is against the law in the UK. It would be a breach of section 3 of the 1990 Computer Misuse Act, specifically subsections 1c and 2d as can be seen here http://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/1990/18/section/3 This isn't the first time that Joshua Shelley has interfered with other people's websites. The description of the contents of the book on the back cover is priceless: "Richard Dawkins is a fabricator of lies today in 2011! Here are the facts you should be aware of These will completely Dis-proves Evolution. Never Before have such a well sourced collection of information been presented in one book Fight the lies and stand by your faith. This is an argument for an intelligent Designer!" It may be however it isn't an argument that is being made by an intelligent author as can be evidenced by the fact that that author doesn't even get past the second word in the book without making a typographical error by capitalising and hyphenating the word "ongoing" You can visit the website that Richard Raspberry is complaining about and see how viciously it attacks him personally "with dildos and everything" here: http://www.joshiit.co.uk NOTE For anyone about to file a privacy complaint, I refer to Richard Raspberry as "Mr Joshua Shelley" throughout this video because that is the name he has written on the front of his book and the dispute is about Mr Joshua Shelley accusing another person of using a website to make "personal" attacks on him when in fact the website reviewed and critiqued books and articles that Mr Shelley has written and published and that he previously promoted through a website that used that domain name. I specifically refer to him as Mr Joshua Shelley rather than just Joshua Shelley because in copies of emails that I have seen that Mr Joshua Sheley sent to the hosting company in order to have the site removed, he refers to himself as Dr Joshua Shelley and claims that he is being Libelled.
