Since the label’s inception we have been rather fortunate to share with you lot some of the most gripping and exciting tunes out there, releasing them on our label Perfecto Records. Our prime focus has always been quality over quantity and what a formidable ride it has been thus far. We are ever so proud to have reached the three hundredth release on our label and of course it was only natural to select a very special track to mark the occasion. Intra Ad Astra is the new and exciting brainchild of Swedish wonder duo Karoly & Monica. These two are certainly no strangers to the scene. They have been active since 1998, wowing the public with their creations. For personal reasons they took a long hiatus from the scene (make that two decades) and it wasn’t till 2021 that they decided to re-emerge into the scene like the return of the prodigal son. We are so glad that they did and happy to welcome them aboard our label for the very first time. “Intra Ad Astra” is a cosmic journey through space unlike any other you have encountered. We are greeted by analog oriented synths, true to the classic Perfecto sound that we love, a plethora of effects, whooshes and bangs, squelches and metallic sounds alongside rumbling basslines. The main melody sends shivers down our spines with its travelesque tendencies and definite epic flavor. The break entices every one of our senses with its unique assembly of vintage violin melodies, clock ticking effects and mechanical sounds all coming together and working in harmony like cogs in an infernal machine. Futuristic female robotic vocals, courtesy of Monica, initiate a nail biting countdown making our hearts pound with utter agony of what awaits. The almighty release is full of energy by use of the dramatic leads, reminiscent of the good old days of trance, contemplated by the growling, rumbling basslines and a swarm of acid lines. The return of Monica’s robotic enhanced vocals add an extra Sci-Fi flair to the tune, making the adrenaline course through our veins at warp speed. A high octane space flight into the great unknown.
