robert gibbs on obamas first debate performance in boulder colorado 11-1-2012 in discussion with karl rove at the university of delaware bob carpenter center.... i only have this small bit of audio from the presentation, sorry... i know a handful of students were recording video of the event so maybe one of them will post it in the coming days i felt that this answer to a question about obamas debate performance in Colorado was almost as bad as obamas performance at the debate in colorado 1. Obama isn't a good debater. WAIT THAT'S A JOKE! 2. Energy. 3. Obama can't state his case properly. 4. The polls were wrong. 5. Clinton was a good debater and it made Obama look bad. 6. Romney had practice debating in the primaries. 7. Nobody ever questions Obama. 8. Presidents never do well in the first debates. 9. Our convention was better though. 10. The media made Obama look worse than he really was. 11. Convention coverage was better than the debate coverage. 12. (joke about the Secret Service) 13. Nobody needed to tell Obama he didn't do well in the first debate. 14. Nobody ever questions or criticizes the president. 15. The polls were wrong. 47%!!!! 16.
