On Monday, June 24, 2019, funeral services for Los Angeles County Sheriffs Department Deputy Joseph Solano were held at the Cathedral of Our Lady Queen of the Angels in Los Angeles. The Los Angeles Police Emerald Society Pipes and Drums and drummers from LASD had the privilege to honor Deputy Solano by playing at the church and grave site services. At the conclusion of the church services, the Band is escorting Deputy Solano by playing, "Ian Campbell, LAPD." This tune was composed to honor all law enforcement officers. LAPD Officer Ian Campbell played the bagpipes. Officer Campbell was killed in the line of duty.
