On March 31, 2019, the 7th Annual Heroes Ride was held. The Los Angeles Police Emerald Society Pipes and Drums played as the riders entered the Los Angeles National Cemetery. Our Drum Sgt, Charlie Ezelle, mistakenly left his drum sticks at home. Adapt, improvise, and overcome was the battle plan. Charlie used two practice chanters as drums sticks and was able to play quite professionally. Great thinking Charlie.
