Franco Jara (born 15 July 1988 in Villa María) is an Argentine footballer who currently plays as a striker for Sport Lisboa e Benfica in the Portuguese first division. Jara is also a member of the Argentine national team. On 30 January 2010, Jara signed a five-year deal with Portuguese side Sport Lisboa e Benfica with a transfer fee paid to Arsenal de Sarandí in the amount of €5.5 million, effective for the beginning of the 2010--11 season.
