@2Pac - Nowhere 2 Run (Scared 2 Die), 2012 [Pushin' The Bay / PTBTV EXCLUSIVE]
http://www.pushinthebay.com - 2Pac (2012) exclusive - Makaveli Lives On! Late rap star Tupac Shakur's screenplay -- the only one he ever wrote -- called Live 2 Tell, has been picked up by Insomnia Media Group, according to today's Hollywood Reporter. The script was reportedly acquired from Shakur's mother, Afeni Shakur, who will produce the project along with Preston Holmes, associate producer of Hustle & Flow. Mrs. Shakur also collaborated with filmmakers on 2003's Tupac: Resurrection, which chronicled the life of the prolific artist in his own words, using concert footage, private home movies, and excerpts from his journals. Insomnia Media Group is developing Live 2 Tell as a feature film, and the trade adds that principal photography could begin as early as March 2006. Tupac wrote the script in 1995 as a starring vehicle for himself. The story, as THR describes it, "centers on a black teen from the projects who becomes a drug kingpin and then turns his life around." There's no co-writer or director linked to the film yet, and casting has not begun. But we'll keep you posted on this flick here on IGN FilmForce and IGN Music as it develops. Tupac Amaru Shakur (June 16, 1971 -- September 13, 1996), known by his stage names 2Pac (or simply Pac) and Makaveli, was an American rapper. Shakur has sold over 75 million albums worldwide, making him one of the best-selling music artists in the world. In the United States alone he has sold 37.5 million records. Rolling Stone Magazine named him the 86th Greatest Artist of All Time. In late 1993, Shakur formed the group Thug Life with a number of his friends, including Big Syke, Macadoshis, his stepbrother Mopreme Shakur, and Rated R. The group released their only record album Thug Life: Volume 1 on September 26, 1994, which went gold. The album featured the single "Pour Out a Little Liquor" produced by Johnny "J" Jackson, who went on to produce a large part of Shakur's album All Eyez on Me. The group usually performed their concerts without Shakur. According to Forbes, in 2008 Shakur's estate made $15 million. In 2002, they recognize him as a Top Earning Dead celebrity coming in on number ten on their list. His double album, All Eyez on Me, is one of the highest-selling rap albums of all time, with over 5 million copies of the album sold in the United States alone by April 1996; it was eventually certified 9x platinum in June 1998 by the RIAA.
