But before we go in, don’t forget to hit that like button! Every like brings Christian closer to his dream of being a full time homemaker. This has to be hands down the most uniquely attractive restaurant I’ve been to in the DFW area! It’s not big, nor does it seem exceptionally expensive or anything, but I think you can tell they put a lot of care into making this atmosphere what it is. As beautiful as it was, my camera was not having it. There wasn’t a great setting I could put it at to balance all the low light and LEDs without suffering serious quality loss, so I switched to my iPhone for the rest of the video! They are BYOB, so just know that before coming there are no alcoholic drinks for sale here, but you’re welcome to bring your own! I got some jasmine tea instead. We started with the seafood pajeon, a traditional Korean pancake with scallions, onions, pepper and kimchi, and the spicy gyoza. Both of these were AMAZING. We ate every bite. It’s so fun trying new, different flavors. I hope these dishes inspire you to try something new you maybe wouldn’t normally order! Christian said the spicy gyoza was the best gyoza he’s had. Next, we got the Spicy Bulgogi with 6 side dishes, and the BTS Chicken Katsu. Christian can’t resist ordering the bulgogi if they have it on the menu, and this did not disappoint! I love how they use unique plating here as well. It really adds to the experience. The side dishes all made for a new, fresh bite with the bulgogi. The chicken katsu was juicy, flavorful, and amazing, and I loved the spicy sauce and fresh lettuce wraps they brought along with it. We got to talking with our server, and she’s the sister of the owner who is seemingly also the chef on duty. It was really awesome talking to her and getting to know the history of the bistro. She said they’d started as a burger joint five years ago, and were unsure if people would like Korean flavors, when they started adding kimchi and bulgogi to the burgers, people loved it - and they decided to go to a full Asian fusion menu! Then she said something even more amazing happened. BTS was in town for a concert, and they chose here to eat! It brought a lot of attention to their shop, and people from out of state would even come to try their food after. So, since BTS ate it here, they named the Chicken Katsu after them. Of course, I had to order dessert - I was torn between the Haddeok Pancake or the Samanco, which looked a lot like the taiyaki I’d seen in anime. If you know of a place I can try taiyaki in DFW, please let me know! She let me know she preferred the pancakes, so I went with her recommendation, and they did not disappoint! The warm pancakes, sweet filling, smooth ice cream and crunchy wafer on top were so delicious. I hope this video encourages you to go try Yori out, they were incredibly kind to share their story with us, and everything was truly amazing. This is one of my favorite restaurants we’ve been to so far and I think you’d all enjoy it if you’re ever in town as well. ✧ music ✧ smith the mister - floating ✧ disclaimer ✧ All of my views are my own and I will always be honest when reviewing products.
