rbhArts's video: VocalBeats: Music-making for Hospitalised Young People - Evaluation Report Presentation

Vocal Beats is a participatory music-making project for hospitalised children and young aged 0-25-years old at Royal Brompton & Harefield NHS Foundation Trust, delivered by profesional singer/songwriters and world champion beatboxers. Since its inception in 2015, it has continuously scaled up to offer further provision including a Youth Ambassadors programme and the Musicians in Healthcare Mentoring Programme. Based on the pioneering work of the Singing for Breathing programme, there is potential for the work to support positive health outcomes in young respiratory patients. Following the successful publication of our Vocal Beats External Evaluation Report in September, this online launch event offers the opportunity to learn more about the award nominated project from report authors and sector-leading specialists Marion Friend MBE, Gráinne Hope and Charlotte Wells. Resulting in a list of recommendations for development, this report is an invaluable resource for other NHS trusts, arts organisations and artists looking to create work in the Music in Hospitals sector.
