Seeing how much she enjoyed playing the kalimba, Lauren got her very own so that she could practice in hospital with the Vocal Beats team. Our resident kalimba expert MC Zani took her though a few notes before she mastered a familiar tune! Vocal Beats is funded by Youth Music, Brompton Fountain and BBC Children in Need. Sessions take place every Wednesday and Thursday afternoon on Rose Ward at Royal Brompton for 0-16 year olds, and Wednesday evenings and Friday afternoons for 17-25-year olds at Royal Brompton and Harefield adult wards.
