Chile's president declared war on his own people. After two months of protests dozens have been killed, hundreds maimed and thousands detained. The repression unleashed by the Chilean police and the military has brought back memories of the 17-year dictatorship under Pinochet. But it has also put a spotlight on the violence against activists that continued to this day. redfish spoke with those who lived through the dictatorship as well as the families of the activists murdered in what was supposedly a 'democracy'.
