@This World by Refuge - Lyrics developed from the poem by Stephanie Rose
As part of The Yellow Book project’s 10th Birthday, ‘refuge’ worked with animator Creative Cat FX to produce a lyric video to help inspire creative entries for the primary school project. The poem ‘This World’ by Stephanie Rose was chosen as the first ever winner of The Yellow Book project back in 2012 and her words were developed by ‘refuge’ into song lyrics. https://rethinkyourmind.co.uk/news/the-primary-school-yellow-book https://creativecatfx.co.uk/ This World - Stephanie Rose This world that we share Is full of wondrous things And each day is a gift Enjoy the chances that it brings. Dwelling on the bad an unhealthy way to go we might miss the good So many joys we won’t know. Appreciate the scent Of a dew covered flower Or sharing your friendship In someone’s most needing hour; Listen to the music Of an exultant bird Or get lost in the wonder Of the written word. Learn to enjoy the simple things For they are all around And when we can see the positive Happiness will always be found The song was recorded by Ian Boult at Stuck on A Name Studios in Nottingham and mastered at Arm Your Ears studio by John Meredith. We were delighted that Graham Dale worked with The SuperStrings to record strings on to the song.
