Students at Leicester College were asked to create the cover art based upon on how the song inspires them. Read More... They had the chance to become the cover art for this rethinkyourmind single performed by Mark Morriss of 90's Chart topping band The Bluetones. The song will be part of a digital wellbeing resource, providing simple tools, practices, spoken word & music with the aim to help empower people in maintaining their health. A number of pieces selected by professional assessors, are also being published in this years Yellow Book resource. Students & staff being invited to attend the prize presentation at The House of Lords hosted by Professor Lord Patel of Bradford OBE. Pieces also featured at New Walk Gallery and Museum as part of the wider Yellow Book Gallery. Those selected were announced at The College Music Showcase. Acts from Leicester & Peterborough Regional College performed to become the next rethinkyourmind music artist in front of a judging panel including Tony Brookes Tour Manager of artists inc The Kooks, Cerys Matthews, Beverley Knight & many more. SuRie who was selected to represent the UK at Eurovision 2018 & Acclaimed Music Video Director Tom Clarkson Tony, SuRie & Tom also spoke around their work in the industry to the students attending the event at The Sue Townsend Theatre Leicester in March. Mark Morriss As lead singer with The Bluetones Mark enjoyed a 15 year recording career that produced 6 studio albums, 3 of which achieved Top 10 sales in the UK, including the album ‘Expecting to Fly’, 13 Top 40 singles, and a Brit nomination in 1996. Mark has recorded 4 solo albums, and music for various side projects, including the Title music for all of the audio book versions of David Walliams’ children’s stories, and as a member of Matt Berry’s touring band ‘The Maypoles’.
