As of Monday, July 6 the South Carolina state Senate voted to take down the Confederate Flag 37-3, the bill is now going to the House. UPDATE: As of Thursday, July 9 the South Carolina state House voted 94-20 in favor to take down the Confederate Flag. GOP Gov. Nikki Haley will sign the bill at 4 PM ET after which the Confederate Flag has to be taken down on state grounds within 24 hours.
