It is a centuries old tradition passed down from generation to generation. Sibi mela is one of the most famous festivals in Balochistan’s history. It is the revival of old glory and conservation new traditions. Now, it serves as a testament of a peaceful environment for the people of Balochistan. The people of Sibi, custodians of this tradition, plan their year around the mela. They spend half a year preparing for it and the other half reminiscing about it. The first Sibi Mela was held in Sibbi in January 1885. It has subsequently developed into a cultural festival, with animal markets, camel racing, tent pegging and exhibitions of handicrafts, tribal dresses and folk dances. This year sibbi mela is started from 24th till 27th of Feb. CM Balochistan Jam Kamal inaugurated the opening ceremony. The annual Sibi Mela 2019 was aimed to celebrate with tradition and culture of the region. The Livestock market held in the ground, exhibition of departmental stalls and musical show presented during the Mela. The programs begin with recitation of verses of holy Quran. The Chief Minister Balochistan Jam Kamal khan addressed the audience and show great concerns on development of Sibi District. The Provincial Minister of Livestock Mitha Khan Kakar also addressed the participants of Sibi Mela. The programs included in Sibi Mela 2019 was Horse parade of Cadet college students, Army band march past, National anthem of Children, School children Flower show, Parade of different breed of animals including Sibi bhagnari cattle Breed, horse dance, regional Folk dance, tent packing, motor cycle jump, distribution of Prizes among the Bhagnari cattle breeders.The Chief minister Balochsitan also inaugurated the Stall Exhibition of Sibi Mela 2019. it is also known as chakar Khan Rind mela, Mir Shakar Khan Rind, Meer Chaakar Khan Rind or Chakar The Great, Chakar-i-Azam Mirjat Baloch Nation was a Baloch chieftain in the 16th century. -------------------------------- -------------------------------- Only Best Video on Youtube
