It literally takes an existing single chart and re-maps it for doubles play! It can even do multiple simfile packs at once! It's part of my Stepmania Stream Generator project which already generates xth note streams based on requested duration at x-bpm. I really wanted to generate Double stepcharts (Nightmare) for Pump It Up, so I figured I would get it working suitably for 4 to 8 panel, then move onto 5 to 10 panel afterwards. All charts have the same number of arrows as the single chart as it's an exact mapping. All original single charts remain included in the files, so you can replace your folders (See TIP on Stepmania cache below.) [Isn't this like the Auto-Gen feature in Stepmania?] This is NOT like the auto-gen feature that is built into Stepmania (nor the Blender mod In The Groove or the Shuffle mod for Dance Dance Revolution). Those mods do a really bad job at mapping and can create horrible double steps and awkward patterns. This software has a built in user customizable database of crossovers and various other options. If you want to generate an entire chart with no crossovers, then it's no problem! ------- [Quick Feature List] Software Supports: * Jumps * Freezes * Rolls * No crossover patterns (User configurable to allow certain patterns if needed) * No spread patterns (User configurable to allow certain patterns if needed) * No two arrow stream (User configurable to allow a custom 2 arrow tolerance. Default is 3) * Player direction/orientation detection (The software knows which way you are facing so it can generate patterns for your position accordingly) * Multiple chart generation (It generates 4 separate style/flavour charts for each individual single chart) * Bulk simfile pack generation * Ability to force (up to) the first 4 arrows of each chart. * Support for SM and SSC files. * Support for interval chart generation (It can generate charts that switch from double to single and back again x times complete with foreground animations on-the-fly. These are called Interval charts.) ------- [Generated Chart Styles] The software generates 3 separate style/flavour charts for each individual single chart. Normal Style: Easiest. Simple patterns with no crossovers. For high BPM stamina songs, this might be the better option as there are less sudden movements. Hard: This is the same as Normal mode but it also takes into account which way the player is facing. There are still no crossovers, but the patterns are more difficult. Recommended for: easier songs, lower BPM stamina and/or technical songs. Center Bias: Most arrows will be around the center of the two pads. There are very few far left and right arrows in these charts. These charts are surprisingly hard but fun to play! Recommended for easier charts and technical charts. Half Double: Everything but the outside far two arrows. Interval Charts: Charts that switch from double to single and back again x times complete with foreground animations on-the-fly. These are called Interval charts. You pre-load the software with timestamps and it will generate arrows that switch from Single to Double and vice versa each time a timestamp is met. A foreground animation will accompany this and also an audible countdown voice from 5 seconds to zero seconds.
