This will be Flori’s 3rd appearance on secretsundaze having released ‘Shelter’ with regular partner Ethyl complete with Rolando remix back in 2012 and also his highly acclaimed ‘Lucy’ EP. a1 ‘What It Is’ starts off with a call to arms with its direct, brooding and muscular grunt. Slowly waves of atmosphere lap into the mix taking the track in a surprising deeper direction but never losing momentum before the menacing riff rears its head again leading the track back to its low slung, powerful beginnings. b1.’Drum 1′ is a perky number with its fizzing hats and sneaky synth line that will worm its way into your head. This is a tooly drum track but with lots of character and charm. Last up b2 ‘Baci’ takes things on a moody and slightly sinister tip with its technoid groove and eerie pads. Definitely one for fans of Fred P and DJ Qu. Still with plenty of drive this can be played early doors or very late. ‘Within Reason EP’ is another example of why Flori is one of the the UK’s finest, yet underated young underground house / techno producers.
