Part II more of my visual diary and reflective journal as I stroll beside the River Parrett to Somerset Bridge---the iron bridge created by Brunel as the railways developed across the land.This bridge another symbol of Bridgwater's great involvement in history---a bridge that has tested time and engineering and large in my memory from early childhood and where I have walked with family and friends....a new bridge close by takes the heavily laden lorries from the warehouses nearby---a newish feature here--no where near the beauty of the old Somerset bridge---the small tunnels still the same---built for shorter people I guess but as kids we always had fun running thru them with our voices echoing in the darkness...The iron staircase where I have carried my bike up a few times on one of my cycling days with views now of the muddy River Parrett below....
