February 2020--awareness of Covid-19 was here and globally but no restrictions issued by the Boris Johnson Government---mainly advice about washing hands and keeping a safe distance--most people were still working, the children at school and the Winter resorts quieter---Sand Bay with its long rugged beach and headland --Sand Point, Middle Hope and St Thomas Point and the Priory were still at peace ---just the normal numbers of people out walking --a few cars---still relatively quiet in February 2020----all this would change by March 23rd 2020 when the first LOCK DOWN arrived but this also meant many people at home now, children off school and exercise recommended---consequences as will be shown in later videos is a human invasion of the woods and Sand Bay---people out exploring with their families---HERDS of people arriving broadening the once quiet narrow tracks---many cars filling the once quieter car parks----this was called Lock Down---the early days before the Covid-19 virus had really spread in communities----this behavior with groups of people wandering about would actually accelerate the spread---ques and face masks were introduced in the shops etc and within the towns and then the restrictions would ease big time and by the Summer Sand Bay Beach and WSM was packed like never before--No one was wearing masks outdoor on their walks and distancing was easier but the numbers grew--bigger groups of people out together, picnicing together close----100s , 1000s arrived--no work, no school and a few Heat waves drew the crowds to the seasides-----further 2020 reflections to come ...........
