Back to Long Wood after just a month but the Autumn changes were more advanced on this visit within the wood----the stream was also full and gushing before disappearing underground---some felling was taking place and logging--this happens now and again following the besting season------after wander thru the wood I walked up the old stony lane heading for Long Sheep Field and Piney Sleights on route for Cheddar---it was great to get out in the fresh air over on the Mendips---the following day the Covid-19 Lock Down would start for 1 month---so no buses .....
