wooden COWS HOOVES, COW PAC but where are the cows..Cows recently released here--a week ago no cows with gates and fences in need of repair-------The cows always have access to the public footpath here and cow pac is evident.Hence I am on alert--newly released cows are excited, frisky and curious..barbed wired fencing lines the route to Warren Hill old road--a bumpy old drove track down to Cheddar as shown in the next video...I had wanted to wander about the Fore Cliffs for the views but I just decided upon a brief diversion with views of the quarry and then back to the track. Remember I have been chased by cows, almost surrounded by cows and had narrow escapes over wobbly stone walls and barbed wire over the past 7 years---so I am wary now unlike most of my life when I freely wandered among the cows on a walk but that changed when several incidents put me on guard and when it was revealed that every year people do get trampled to death--even the farmers--SO risk assessment and knowledge of the area the tools employed here....I have emergency actions to take if the unexpected were to occur...Keep safe in the countryside and with a good back pack including water, first aid kit whistle, mobile and in the UK waterproofs and a hat--also a picnic and in my case cameras, charger and memory cards...sometimes a trekking stick but the camera takes precedence---an old stick can often been found when the terrain gets tough--I do often carry one stick attached to my bag but its hardly ever used---I have also lost my sticks on walks--forgot to pick them up after a break or adjusting the camera......
