An excited start to the Drove as I explore this old track with its gnarled trees lining and dominating the hillside and skirting the newer Great Wood with its tall pines and well defined landscaped pathways. Many have walked and wandered here with opportunities to emerge from the dark shade to the bright combe and hills with magnificent views.Scenes over towards the West Bagborough Plantation, Wills neck and further on Aisholt Common and the Plains. My aim to find All saints Church at the small hamlet of Aisholt--a church I visited once before in 2017 and a church visited by Samuel Coleridge and probably Wordsworth...........
