After Climbing up the stony pathway from Long Wood I arrived in Long Sheep field where I noticed 4 rams had been introduced to the flock---so Winter lambs will arrive Xmas time I guess---I have wandered thru this field many times and have rescued young sheep with their horns stuck in the fences as they tried to reach grass---not an easy task releasing scared jumpy lambs from the wire but needs to be done because they could go for hours without fluids and food until the shepherd arrives or someone like me comes along to rescue them...and such an incident did happen in September...........I was over here in September and October but on this day in November the weather was much better and Autumn accepted as the month of progresses towards the colder months...It is a long field with good views over to the AONB on the Mendip Hills and Rowberrow Warren and Piney Sleights .........After the field I just took photos as I walked thru Piney Sleights towards the South side of Cheddar Gorge where the Sun was beginning to set creating some beautiful images of the landscape and places like Brent Knoll, Crooks Peak and Glastonbury Tor---the latter had by this time in the day emerged from the heavy white mist and was bathing in the Sun's golden rays----The Tor, the guardian of the Vale of Avalon with others, also acts as a Sentry like Brent Knoll, Crooks Peak, Brean Down, Steep Holm Island and the Mendip Aerial Masts....All my reference points mentioned in many videos.I just love the magic and mystery of this place--a place of peace , of majesty, of serenity and a conducive environment to reflect--sort out one's mind , soul and spirit---here one is embraced by beauty--a reminder when there is so much torment and pain around us---a reminder that there is a future and hope---this place is a healer--natural medicine to recharge and renew often tired bodies ....I will be back for ever .............part of me will always walk here.....
