After viewing the working Cheddar Quarry from above I make my way down the beautiful track greeted by the richness and aromas of the wild flowers especially the abundance of the wild white garlic forming a gauntlet as I gently amble along.The trees bursting in green and pumping out Oxygen all around me while in the background the busy quarry is carving up the landscape and attacking the ancient geology but also revealing its treasures, its timeline. At the bottom of the track I cross the busy Shipham to Cheddar Road with cargo trucks laden with quarry spoils hurtling constantly past--so I take much care and cross to reach a little track that then leads me to the track for the ascent past the redundant quarry on route for cow fields and the Fore cliff area overlooking the Quarry from a distance........Evidence of cows, freah hoof marks and cow pac but not a cow to be seen but they are here---somewhere.......Part VI to follow.....
