For full audio Go to :https://youtu.be/EfqbSsbML8o A pleasant 6 mile circular wander from Burrough Green to Carlton St Peter's, then Brinkley St Mary's and then back to Burrough Green for a visit to St Augustine's church...Walking in the footsteps of the ancestors -----my Oak ancestors were Wood Farmers and owned at some point 110 acres here...I feel the walk allows me access to the past--I feel at home here and have many ancestors buried at Burrough Green and other surrounding villages...It is truly my ancestral land. The audio recording was created using a hand-held cassette recorder and instamatic camera photos.A very basic recording but captured in Time and Space---This method was used by ,me in the early days of family tree research and a great way to walk and talk and record grave inscriptions.Eventually I progressed to different quality cameras and video recorders with each visit.But I still believe the audio recordings captured those early moments in Time when I was rapidly discovering my ancestors and who they were, where they lived, worked and were buried.Some of my recordings are over 25 years old now and still great quality---I keep them safe and protected and since transferring to disc, memory cards and cloud the cassettes are rested ....I still have many cassettes to save to disc--it all takes time.....
