Quite a quiet wander downhill from Tynings Gate to Lillypool farm--just a few huge trucks passing but room to escape.School run would make the difference in traffic but I had time to reach the bottom to the very busy and dangerous Cheddar Shipham road and cross to the West Mendip Way by the time the school bell rung. At the start of this stretch of the walk I observed familiar buildings like the Tynings farm and cottage--6 months since I passed close to them--6 months since the 126 Cheddar bus-- I felt 'kind of' home sick really because my walks over cheddar had made me think of moving to the area at one stage but not now No way--NO proper bus link at all--it really is awful for many people having the 126 withdrawn !!!!!...can't believe this has happened !!!! Anyway the walk has helped to a certain extent--my healer
