Absolutely great to be able to wander down the West Mendip Way again. I have done this so many times and this will continue as I will be visiting Rowberrow and Dolebury Warren loads...and the AONB as well. The WMWay has changed little but some added stones along the track have helped keep the mud at bay and the deep furrows and trenches caused by the farm vehicles.Also some land management with pruning back widening the track a little---such an old route with so many people travelling the route over much time.When the 126 bus was operating I could get off and on at the bottom of the track and after a long hike especially this was a blessing...Now with no 126 I have to walk up the Strawberry Line to Winscombe to catch the 51-after a good 5 hour hike--I do miss the 126 --the 51 is still very valuable and much appreciated and essential for many of us dependent on public transport--
