Panorama of all the amazing sights on the Matterhorn Glacier trail above Zermatt, Switzerland. The hike starts from the Trockener Steg station (south of Zermatt), and winds generally downhill towards the Schwarzee station. The footing is good, and the views are amazing, not only of the Matterhorn but also of the various mountains along the Italian border (e.g., Breithorn), down into the valley where Zermatt resides, and the hills east of Zermatt where other great hiking is possible.
