sharksavers's video: Now More Than Ever Sharks Count

Sharks were once plentiful and often experienced by divers along the Florida coast. As in many places in the world, those shark populations are now severely depleted and seeing a shark is a rarity. In "Now, More Thank Ever, Sharks Count", pioneering divers recount their experiences decades ago of seeing many sharks when diving. Unfortunately, we have only their memories and not recorded data. This film introduces a new citizen science program called SharksCount, a program to enable divers to count and record the sharks that they see on their dives. With SharksCount, Shark Savers is building a new, international database of shark sightings to help the cause of shark conservation.
