shatadru's video: Bangladeshi New Yorkers are showing solidarity for the Shahabag Projonmo

NEW YORK JAGORON MONCHO Well... this was a demonstration across the United Nations Plaza and a little way from the United Nations HQ in New York, USA on February 24, 2013 by a few Bangladeshis to show solidarity to the "Dhaka Spring," also known as "Shahabag Projonmo," a spontaneous movement that quickly spread across Bangladesh and became very popular. Where new generations are demanding capital punishment for all radical Islamists, who committed war crimes during country's nine months long liberation war known as "Muktijuddho" in 1971. Also, an energetic attempt to reinstate country's original constitution's four basic principles and one of these principles happened to be secularism. Nevertheless, those Secular protesters, who represent the spirit of 1971, may find the way to win the battle, but it seems the war was lost long ago on September 2, 1905 when the British divided Bengal into pieces. Therefore, a question comes to mind whether there will be any secularism in Bangladesh, or as always, minorities such as Hindus, Buddhists, Christians as well as some tribal communities will be paying the ultimate price for whatever the cause may be? However, special thanks to all who are involved in this spontaneous secular movement otherwise known as the Dhaka Spring or Shahabag Projonmo.
