Falling into the Well About Pamali: Horror is different for everyone. One might think it’s a one-time thing, while the other might think that it is filled with monsters. In Pamali, horror is shaped by the taboos and culture that live among the society itself. Pamali contains four different stories we call folklore, with each folklore featuring one different ghost. Experience authentic Indonesian ghosts such as Kuntilanak, Pocong, Tuyul, and Leak. Features: • Explore four authentic Indonesian settings. • Interact with various mystical and spiritual items. • Experience first-hand various mystical phenomenon About Pamali's second folklore: In the second folklore of Pamali, you’ll be playing as Cecep, a young graveyard keeper, and you will have to communicate with a lot of people to accomplish various tasks. To simulate these communications you’ll rely on your in-game mobile phone to communicate with other people. Compared to the other objects, it will be the one of the most interactive object in this folklore because you can expect some basics functions like a feature phone on this thing, such as: Receive SMS from other people and read it. You will also reply some SMS but that process will be automated by the game instead of you typing each character, that’ll be a hassle. Check your Contacts and call other people, don’t worry, Cecep has lot of friends to call with! You can also check your Logs to track your call history. Make calls and get called by other people to receive various information, as long as they have some free time to talk with you. Not only from contacts, but you can also call random numbers and hopefully you can call someone. You can also reject some calls but why would you, right? There might be some tweaks on this feature phone in the future so feel free to give your opinion about this upcoming feature with any of us. Hopefully this feature will enhance your experience on playing Pamali. Thank you for your support, and for reading this quick devlog! We’ll see you again on the next one! Pamali: Indonesian Folklore Horror Experience various Indonesian taboos and culture that shape the horror itself. Andreas Andika is responsible for the technical directing, Chandrika N. Dewi is taking care of the art directing, M. Irfan Permadi is the programmer, Mira Wardhaningsih and Aulia Khairunnisa write all the story, and Rolly Anwari creates all the music for the game. Indonesian folklore ghosts and creature stories: Indonesia has a long tradition of ancient animistic and mystic beliefs, that coexist with much modern religions, and many people believe in ghosts, spirits and demons. Suster ngesot, babi ngepet, genderuwo, tuyul, pocong, leak, kalong wewe, jelangkung, jenglot and kuntilanak are just some of the better-known spirits around the country. One of the most famous is the Kuntilanak or Sundel Bolong. The Kuntilanak is often depicted on TV and in horror movies. It is a female, vampire-like demon. Kuntilanak is also known as pontianak or puntianak in Malaysia, which is an abbreviation from “perempuan mati beranak” or “woman who passed away while giving birth”. Kuntilanak is usually portrayed long black hair covering most of her face, long sharp nails and a loose white dress. But she only turns into this form when the coffin nail is removed from the back of her neck or head! With the nail in place, she appears as a charming woman. She is said to have a hollow back, hence her other name — Sundel Bolong (bolong means hollow)
