There are many Life is Strange 2 Easter eggs and hidden messages in The Adventures of Captain Spirit including a Mark Jefferson (Max Caulfield or Rachel) dark room Easter egg, a Chloe and Rachel Before The Storm freight hopper reference and a letter addressed to Emily from Raymond Wells at Blackwell Academy. This is possibly a link to the third episode of the original Life is Strange, "Chaos Theory". October 9th is the date when "Chaos Theory" takes place. -Just like on Max's pencil case in Life is Strange's Episode 1, Chris Eriksen's pencil case also features the little dog that Co-Game Director Raoul Barbet draws as part of his signature. -Max's Chicken: The cover of the book in Chris' room, Where the Wild Things Are, contains a chicken originally found on Max Caulfield's nightwear in Life is Strange. This easter egg was confirmed by Lead Artist Edouard Caplain on Twitter. -A Super Comic Store pamphlet found in Chris's room contains a QR code. When scanned, it provides the text, "A ragged cold may make a good horse." It's speculated that this easter egg is a hint at Life is Strange 2. -When referencing a photograph of his father playing basketball Chris says "If I could go back in time, I'd go see him play", which implies Max Caulfield could use her time travel powers to take Chris there in Life is Strange 2? The beer can objective is a nod to a scene in the original Life is Strange where Chloe and Max shoot at beer glasses in a junkyard. Life is Strange Before the Storm Easter eggs: -Whenever a telephone number is mentioned in the game, it has the prefix 555. That does not have anything to do with Arcadia Bay, Oregon, however. 555 is widely used for fictitious telephone numbers in North American television shows, films, video games and other media in order to prevent curious callers from bothering real people and organisations by telephoning numbers they see in works of fiction. -Bigfoot: Bigfoot is a large and mysterious humanoid creature purported to inhabit the wild and forested areas of Oregon and the West Coast of North America. It's a recurring theme in Life is Strange since the game's story is set in the same area where the Bigfoot folklore originated. -Breaking the Fourth Wall: In the diner sequence of Max's nightmare in Episode 5, "Polarized", Max has to enter a code to exit the diner bathroom. If you enter the incorrect code 50 times, the door will open and Max will say, "I'm going to make the designers pay for all these bullsh*t code puzzles!" -Hawt Dawg Man appears several times throughout the game: He is seen in alternative timeline Chloe's bedroom. He is featured on a poster on the wall of Kate's hospital room (if she is still alive in "Dark Room"). He appears on an airplane screen in an alternative timeline in "Polarized". He is featured on a photo in the Zeitgeist Gallery. There is a calendar featuring Hawt Dawg Man in the storeroom Max enters on the way to the Two Whales Diner. Kate's Video: Although there is an opportunity to view snippets of Kate's video within the game by sneaking a peek beside Juliet and Brooke in the hallway of the Girl's side of the Prescott Dormitory the morning of "Out of Time", it is unintelligible and cannot be watched. Any player who attempts to access the link to the site in real life is provided with the following official Easter egg: http://katesvid.com/ is an actual link that leads to a blog with a single post and a video that was "removed" by Youtube, linking to the fact that Victoria took the video down after Kate's own attempt on her life. -Michel Koch, one of the directors behind Life is Strange, makes an appearance in "Polarized". Or is it a coincidence that a man exactly looking like him is sitting in the same plane as Max on her way to the Zeitgeist Gallery? -Rachel's Poster: Rachel Amber's missing person poster appears to be based on the real-life missing poster of Sunday Blombergh.
