Couldn't find it at Walmart or Target or Michael's (but that might just be because my Michael's is confusing). BASICALLY - best chance of finding one is ordering online! **Also -- for reference, the Target mug is by the brand THRESHOLD. The dollar store mug did not have a brand. ________________________________ INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Clean the surface of your mug 2. Draw on any design. 3. Place mugs in oven BEFORE turning it on. Set oven to 425 Fahrenheit for 30 minutes 4. Turn off oven & let it cool completely before removing the mugs. 5. Test by hand washing or running through the machine. Enjoy! JUST FYI: It really stinks while you're baking the mugs. Maybe this is just something that I experienced, but none of the articles I read about this project mentioned the smell. It's not too bad, but is noticeable. ________________________________ AFTER FILMING: I went back a third time with more soap and water. The P & E Mugs (Normal sharpie) continued to fade further. The J & C mugs (special sharpie) are still in great condition. I'll keep providing updates on the J & C mugs over time for anyone who is interested in long-term durability. THE VERDICT: The idea that you can just use items that you probably already own (normal sharpie + plain mug) to create this is kind of false. If you're willing to search for the oil based paint sharpie, this can work. That said, I'm sure there are a ton of different sharpie/mug combinations (different mugs have different quality glazes) so I'm sure there are other ways to make this work. Let me know if you've tried this/what has or hasn't worked for you down below! ________________________________ +FILMING INFO Filmed with...
