Let me know in the comments. +INSTAGRAM | http://www.instagram.com/itsjoules +TWITTER | http://www.twitter.com/itsjoules2 +PINTEREST | http://www.pinterest.com/itsjoules +BLOG| http://www.asimplelifestyle.com/ +COOKING CHANNEL| http://www.youtube.com/simpledishes MATERIALS: spray paint, glass (cups, bottles, vases, etc), and rubber bands +I used Krylon Fluorescent Special Purpose Spray Paint in the shade "Glowing Cerise" purchased from an art supply store. +I used vases/glass cups purchased from a dollar store. +I used rubber bands from an office supply store INSTRUCTIONS: +Wash glass. Let dry. +Add rubber bands. +Shake the can of spray paint well. Spray once evenly. Wait 10-15 minutes. Add a second coat. +Wait 8 hours. Remove bands. Pick off/brush off any excess dry paint. +Enjoy! TIPS/TRICKS THAT WORK: +Make sure the rubber bands aren't twisted. They should be flat. +Overlap rubber bands for a more interesting design. +Two coats are essential. The third doesn't really make a difference. +DO NOT REMOVE BANDS until at least 8 hours have passed. A good range of time to wait is 8-12 hours. FAIL?: +The spray paint was dry to the touch after half an hour so I thought that waiting a couple hours longer would be ideal. Removing the bands at 2.5 hours post-painting led to failure. Chunks of paint came off with the bands so I didn't get clean lines. The key to this Pinterest project is patience. Waiting overnight to remove the bands led to the best results.
